FITCHBURG -- Marcia E. (Gooley) Goodwin, 80, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on March 11, 2014, at the Highlands Life Care Center.

Marcia was previously a resident of Wachusett Manor in Gardner. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care she received in both facilities.

Marcia was born January 27, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Hazelle Warner Cruttenden, and Maurice Cruttenden. She was a 1952 graduate of Norwich Free Academy, and a later graduate of Nursing School. Marcia enjoyed being a nurse and enjoyed caring for those around her. Marcia was fond of knitting, crewel work, and long rides to Boothbay Harbor.

Some of her greatest joys in life were spent with her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was blessed with having two loving husbands who both predeceased her: Her first husband, Kenneth Gooley in 1967, and William Goodwin in 2006. She leaves her loving sister, Linda Haas of Fitchburg; and five children, Susan Gooley Driscoll, of Fitchburg, Lin Goodwin and his wife, Priscilla Rush, Todd Goodwin and his wife, Laura, Kim Goodwin and his wife, Joan, all of Fitchburg, and Dana Goodwin of Chester NY.

In addition she is survived by her seven grandchildren, Jennifer Latsis and her husband, John of West Boylston, Jeffrey Goodwin and his wife, Caron of Fitchburg, Adam Goodwin and Andrew Goodwin of Fitchburg, Kaitlyn Driscoll Farley and her husband, Matt of Gardner, Rebecca Driscoll of Fitchburg, and Meghan Driscoll and her fiancé, David Cioffi of Ashburnham.
