GARDNER -- Richard K. LeBlanc, 68, of Gardner, formerly of Fitchburg, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Heywood Hospital after a long illness.
Richard was born in Fitchburg on March 21, 1945 a son of the late Clarence J. and Dorothy R. (Gravel) LeBlanc. He graduated from Saint Bernard's High School. After high school, Richard served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Until retirement, Richard worked for the Boston Herald as a Computer Technician. After retirement he ran his own handyman business. Richard loved his family and friends. He will be remembered as someone who could bring humor to any situation as well as his love of golf.
He leaves his children, Pete Leblanc and wife Mindy of Fitchburg, Corey LeBlanc and girlfriend Jessica Anderson of Winchendon, Andrew LeBlanc and wife Kim of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremy, and Carolina LeBlanc and Alaina Rodriguez; brothers, Dennis LeBlanc and wife Sue of Lunenburg, Lenny LeBlanc of Fitchburg; many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his golf partner and cousin, Rene Bernard and lifelong friend Johnny Lavoie.
Richard was predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Gail A. (Corkum) LeBlanc.
LEBLANC -- A memorial service will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 1 PM. Calling hours will be held from 11 AM -1 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private at a later date.
