WESTMINSTER -- Ronald Thomas Irvine, 81 years old, of Westminster, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 surrounded by his loving family, in Oakdale Nursing Home in West Boylston.

He was born in Leominster on October 20, 1932, the son of Thomas and Julia (Maki) Irvine, and was a resident of Leominster until he retired to his summer home in Westminster and Melbourne Beach Florida.

Ron graduated from Leominster High School and served in the US Navy Reserves for eight years.

He was employed for many years at Modern Tool and Die in Leominster, first as a mold designer and then Manager of Engineering. After leaving Modern Tool, he went to Mar-Lee Mold in Leominster and served as Vice President of Engineering and Sales. His last employment before retiring in 1994 was Tradesco Mold LTD of Toronto Canada as East Coast United States Sales Manager.

He was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Leominster for more than 50 years, he served as a deacon, and member of the Board of Trustees. He was a member of the Leominster Shriners, Jerusalem Commandery, Royal Arch Chapter and member of Wilder Lodge of Masons for more than 50 years. He was also past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

He leaves his three daughters, Donna Lee Cormier and husband, Jeffrey of Onset, Julie Ann French of Leominster, and Elizabeth Ann Irvine and her fiancé, Steve Arsenault of Leominster, his son, Jeffrey of Leominster; his brother, Edwin and his wife, Diane of Leominster; five grandchildren, Todd Cormier, Jamie Manzo, Marcos Meza-Irvine, Corey French and Kyle French; four great-grandchildren, Lilia, Reese, Enzo and Adeline.

His loving wife of 51 years, Beverley Ann (Oberg) Irvine died in 2010.

IRVINE -- Ron's funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster with an 11 am service in Pilgrim Congregational Church, 26 West St., Leominster. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery in Westminster.
