Scott J. Coleman
of Fitchburg; 54

FITCHBURG -- Scott J. Coleman, 54 years old, of Fitchburg, formerly of Leominster, died Monday, April 7, 2014, in HealthAlliance-Leominster Hospital.

He is survived by his sisters, Nancy R. Perla Brown of Leominster, and Sandra L. Contois and her husband, Bernard of Fitchburg, who he lived with; his brothers, Donald P. Coleman and his wife, Ruth of Montgomery, AL, and Mark R. Coleman and his wife, Sheri of Machiasport, ME; and several nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Kellie Coleman Cordington.

Scott was born January 13, 1960 in Leominster, son of William R. and Beatrice P. (Proulx) Coleman and had lived in Fitchburg for the past 16 years. He had attended the day program at The ARC in Fitchburg for many years. He won numerous medals in the Special Olympics while living in Florida. Scott loving bowling and watching Boston Red Sox games. He also enjoyed sitting in his chair listening to music on his radio and in the summer months he would sit outside on his swing for hours with his radio on full blast.

COLEMAN -- A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 10:30 am in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main Street, Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held on Saturday morning from 9-10 am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The ARC of Opportunity, 564 Main Street, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
