Victor E. Aubuchon; 87

LEOMINSTER -- Victor E. Aubuchon, 87, a longtime Leominster resident, died Thursday morning, June 26, 2014, at Life Care Center of Leominster, after a long illness, with his loving wife by his bedside.

He leaves his wife of 66 years, Katherine "Kay" E. (LaValley) Aubuchon; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Aubuchon of Leominster.

Mr. Aubuchon was employed for many years at Simonds Saw & Steel, and also for the City of Leominster in the School Department.

He was a 1945 graduate of Leominster High School. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1954 in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre, receiving the World War II Victory Medal, American Area Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal. He later served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for eight years.

He enjoyed working in his garden.

He was born in Leominster, MA, on June 17, 1927, a son of the late Narcisse and Flora (Poirier) Aubuchon.

Kay and her family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses that cared for Victor at the Life Care Center of Leominster.

AUBUCHON -- Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, July 2, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster, MA. Rev. Richard Roger of St. Cecilia's Parish will Officiate. There are no calling hours.
