Bert L. Grenville

Merritt Island, FL

Bert L. Grenville, 83, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 14, 2014. Bert retired from NASA, Kennedy Space Center in 1985, after a memorable career that included Test Supervisor for Apollo 13. Bert graduated from the University of Florida after serving four years in the United States Air Force and remained an avid Gator fan all his life.

Bert was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Grenville, in January 2011. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Jean; his daughters, Carol Arieux (Mike), Linda Mixson, Janette Ernest (Steve); sons, Alan Grenville (Denise), Robert Grenville, Mark Middleton (Cara) and David Middleton; and his precious grandchildren, Mark Ireland, Stacy Dellone (Shaun), Nicole Schroeter (Dave), Adam Grenville (Jody), Tyler Grenville (Margaret), Casey Grenville, Brian Foxhoven, Lisa Mayhew, Layne Anderson (John), Brittany Grenville, Cody Grenville, Dyan Rodriguez (Carlos), Krista Middleton and Sean Ernest. Bert was also blessed with thirteen great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at North Brevard Funeral home in Titusville.

Bert would have wanted any donations to go to Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
