Charlotte Antoinette (Nardozzi) Gagne Obituary

Charlotte Antoinette Gagne (Nardozzi), 69, Rocky Hill, CT and Merritt Island, FL died March 5, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL.

Survived by her husband of 45 years, John Peter Gagne; two daughters, Sharon Marie Gagne, Rocky Hill, CT and Karen Gagne-Signorello, Cromwell, CT; her three grandchildren meant the world to her, Brianna Florence, Malena Lucia, and AJ Signorello, Cromwell. She was predeceased by her parents Angelo"Charlie " and Florence (Spino) Nardozzi of Waterbury.

She graduated from UCONN, in 1965 (BA in History and Masters) in teaching. She was a teacher for 41 years. The majority of her teaching was at Moser School, Rocky Hill, CT. She was an avid UCONN women's basketball fan and a season's ticket holder. She loved her 5th wheel RV trailer and a member of the CT Good Sam Roadrunners camping club. One of her greatest joys in life was traveling with her husband, they traveled all over Europe, Panama Canal, US and the Caribbean.

She had a passion for going on Disney Cruises where she made many friends. Charlotte loved heading south for the winter. She enjoyed going on trips to Disney. Her favorite Disney character is Goofy. She had her Disney passporter book and her hidden Mickey books always looking for Disney clues. Playing bingo and dinner dances were one of her favorite events at Island Lakes Community. At 5pm you could find Charlotte and John at Jetty Park watching the cruise ships come in and out of the port. She was also a member of the Moose Club in Merritt Island. She was parishioner of St. James Church in Rocky Hill, CT. She had a strong devotion to St. Anthony.
