Donald "Don" DeLong, 78, of Titusville, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.

Don's love of automobiles landed him in Titusville, FL, in April 1981. He was the owner of American Auto Sales, and most recently owner of Lemuel's Auto Sales on Hopkins Avenue in Titusville.

We always knew that Don had a loving, caring spirit, now hearing of the things he did for those less fortunate than himself, only confirms that, such as, buying food for the hungry, clothes for the needy, paying rent for those losing their homes, paying electric bills, helping some get autos for their needs, not to mention so many other things…

Don was born on July 30, 1933, in Newburg, MO, and later moved to Alabama with his family of three brothers, three sisters and mother and father.

He served as a gunner in the Korean Conflict and later married to settle in Corpus Christi, TX.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Lee Dean of Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX; a grandson, Ben Adicks (Lisa) of Corpus Christi, TX; two great granddaughters, Amber and Ashley Adicks; two sisters, Dorothy Haynes of Washington State and Helen D. Powell (Bill) of Titusville; nephew, Richard Evangelista (Joan) of Titusville; two nieces, Donna Faenza (John) of Mims, FL, and Tonya Witt (Billy) of Titusville; and many great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at New Life Christian Fellowship, 6755 S. Washington Ave., Titusville.

Arrangements by North Brevard Funeral Home.
