Emmett O. "Sonny" Mueller, 76, passed away on December 24, 2012 at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL. He was known to all of his family and friends as "Sonny". Sonny was born in Louisville, KY, on October 11, 1936, to the late Frances Garns.
He is survived by his sons, Kelly Mueller of Colorado Springs, CO, Stanley Mueller of Melbourne; daughter, Susan Gruber of Ft. Collins, CO; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Sonny was a retired Chief of MWR Services from MacDill AFB, after serving 46 years with the Air Force in and out of uniform. He was a retired Class "A" member of the PGA, and former head PGA Professional and General Manager of the golf courses at Patrick AFB, Moody AFB, GA, Clark Air Base, Philippines, and George AFB, CA. Sonny was a life member of VFW Post 8191 and a member of the PAFB Manatee Cove Golf Course.
Sonny will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Sonny also asked that we recognize Gene, Sam, Bill, Frank, Tom and Ray, true friends with whom he will miss.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 4:00 pm at the VFW Post 8191, 4130 N. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, FL.
