John B. "Jack" Maloney, 83, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2013 after a short illness. Born into a military family at Raritan Arsenal, NJ, Jack grew up on various Army bases.
Jack served as a ground air controller in the Navy, then became a Chief Radar Tech for RCA at Cape Canaveral A.F.S. for 35 years, later working for GE and CSR. Jack volunteered with Special Olympics and upon retiring, traveled with Burleen in their RV. Jack loved life, his family and puttering in his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Burleen; daughters, Wendy Maloney and Stacey Maloney Walton; son-in-law, Scott Walton; his grandsons, Zachary, Ryan and Jacob Walton; sister, Elizabeth Stearns; brother-in-law, Dale Griffin; sister-in-law, Vicki Edmonds; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at Beckman- Williamson Funeral home in Cocoa Beach on Friday, April 26 at 4:00pm.
The family thanks the staff at Wuesthoff Hospital and Wuesthoff Hospice for their kindness and support.
