Oliver H. Sauer

Indialantic, FL

Oliver H. Sauer died at home on his 91st birthday, October 18, 2013. Born in Belleville, Illinois, Oliver was an Indialantic resident for 53 years.

As a youth, he played baseball and tennis, and served as an altar boy. He participated in a special US Army Air Corps operation during WWII that included travel to several countries. A career in civil service brought him to PAFB. Fishing in the Indian River, bicycling, and gardening were some favorite activities, and he always held faith in God and prayer.

He was dedicated to his family throughout life, was a loving husband to Dovie Marie Wright Sauer (deceased), and a guiding father. His children, Rose Marie Carr, of Indialantic, and Robert Sauer of Asheville, NC, will honor his memory.

A Mass of Christian burial will be on November 19 at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus, Indialantic.
