Robert L. Schlichenmaier, born on January 20,1922 in Galesville, WI, has passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014.

Bob was a retired Naval officer in submarine service in the south Pacific during WWII. He retired to FL in 1960 where he captained research vessels. He moved to the Space Coast in 1974, working for Brevard County. Bob's hobbies included sailing, golf, playing the clarinet and organ, dancing and singing. He was a member of MOAA, BPOE, and Masons.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Anita, two sons Robert/Maxine and Terry/Sally, four grandchildren Tami, Kelly, Matt, Erik and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be at the Community Chapel of Melbourne Beach on Saturday February 8, 2014 at 3:00 P.M.
