Sam Hilton

Melbourne, FL

MSgt. Sam Hilton, USAF (Ret.), 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at home with his family by his side. Sam was born on July 15, 1936 in Kershaw, SC to the late L. D. and Ruth Hilton.

Sam was a member of the 6555th Aerospace Test Wing, stationed at Patrick Air Force Base from 1960 to 1978. He retired in 1978 after 24 years of active duty service. Sam also retired from Harris Corp. in 1991 after 13 years in the Government Systems Division.

He is survived by daughters, Dawn Hilton, Shanon Harvey and Robin Hilton; one granddaughter, Makayla Harvey; two brothers, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Family will greet friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Friday, June 13th at Davis Seawinds Funeral Home in Melbourne with a Celebration of Sam's Life to follow at 5 p.m. Condolences may be shared at www.davisseawinds.com.
