Stephen Frye

Melbourne, FL

Stephen Frye passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 17, 2013 with the presence of his loving companion Brenda M. Thurlow close by. Steve moved to Melbourne recently from Satellite Beach, where he had resided for almost 50 years. He is survived by sister Anne Browder of Orlando, FL, brother David Frye of Greeley, CO, sister Donna Wencil of Merritt Is, FL and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Esther and sister Jeanne Greene

Steve graduated from Satellite High School, Trinidad State College - gunsmithing, and Brevard County Police Academy

Steve had a life-long love and respect for those who enforce the law and provide public service. He was a Reserve Brevard County Sherriff and Satellite Beach Police officer. He had many friends in Satellite Beach Police and Fire departments and other local law enforcement communities. His passion was guns, shooting and travel. He was proprietor of Legendary Lawman gun shop and was a regular at Central Florida gun shows.

There will be no memorial as Steve preferred to be remembered in life.
