Thomas L. Blackwell, Jr., 72, of Palm Bay passed away on Thursday September 26, 2013 in Melbourne. Tom served as a police officer in Vero Beach moving here in 1976 and retired as a Sgt. for the Palm Bay Police Dept.

He was a Baptist, member of the Melbourne Masonic Lodge # 143, Scottish Rite and AZAN Shrine Temple.

Survivors include his wife Marlene, son Michael, daughter Brandy Hall, granddaughter Katie, sisters Peggy Borcher and Linda Limpus.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 1st from 4pm-7pm with a funeral service at 6pm in the Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Chapel.

If desired donations in his name may be made to the Police Benevolent Assn. or the Health First Heart Center of Melbourne.
