Thomas Lewis Whiteside Jr. passed away Saturday August 2, 2014 in Dallas, TX.
He was born on August 19, 1961 in Arlington Hts., IL and moved to FL with his parents, Tom & Jo Ann in 1963.
He graduated from Satellite High School in 1979, where he played piano for the chorus and was awarded a music scholarship to Stetson University in DeLand, FL. Tommy received two bachelors' degrees in music education and music performance and continued to win another scholarship to Southern Methodist University in Dallas where he earned two masters' degrees in harpsichord performance and sacred music. He won a Rotary Foundation Scholarship from the Indialantic Rotary Club to Freiburg, Germany for a super year. He was a talented artist, mentor, and internal spiritual guide.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Dr. T.L. Whiteside, step father, Ron Lyngaas and Uncle Jim McIntire. He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Tutt; step father, Billy Dean; brother, Michael (Sharon) Whiteside; nieces and nephew, Macie, Sarah, and Justin Whiteside; long-time partner, Joel Hernandez; stepsisters and stepbrother; many cousins, aunts & friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Indian River Colony Club Chapel in Viera on Sunday, August. 10, 2014 at 3:30 PM.
