ANGELO "ANDY" IANUCILLI JR., 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014. Angelo was born in Fort Wayne, Dec. 15, 1931 a son of Angelo Sr. and Mary Iannucilli. He graduated from Central high school in 1950. He joined the Air Force in October 1951 and served his country during the Korean War. He was Honorably discharged from the Air Force in October 1955. He then worked at Victor Bryie Shell for seven years as a mechanic. In 1963, he went to work for International Harvester (Navistar) as a Parts Analyst and retired in 1993 after 30 years of service. He was a member of UAW local 2911 and American Legion Post 499. He married Janice E. Moore on Sept. 16, 1961. They were happily married for 52 years. "Angelo was an adoring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather." He had an inquisitive mind and enjoyed working with his hands. He was a skilled mechanic, electrician and builder. He passed many of these interests and skills on to his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed watching IU basketball and NASCAR Racing. Surviving are his wife, Janice; children, Gregory (Linda) Ianucilli of Fort Wayne, Joseph (Gina) Ianucilli of Albion, Gary "Sam" (Christine) Ianucilli of Coldwater, Mich., Gina (Michael) Oswald of Sylvania, Ohio, Jan (Pat) Barrett of Fort Wayne, and Michael (Lori) Ianucilli of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty "Bess" Pokora; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo Sr.and Mary Virginia; his first wife, Mary Ann Bergman; brothers, Louis Iannucilli, Joseph Iannucilli, Frank Ianucilli and Arthur Iannucilli. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Fr. Benjamin Muhlenkamp officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road. Memorials may be made to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church School Building Fund, or Parkview Home Health and Hospice, Right to Life or Masses.
