BILLY GLENN ALLEN, 87, of Fort Wayne, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014. He served with the United States Army from 1944 to 1947 in the Pacific Theater. Throughout his life he carried the following occupations: Tennessee Farmer, American Soldier, Industrial Production Worker, Union Steward. He was an active member of Harvester Missionary Church, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his sons, The Rev. Glenn Parker Allen, and The Rev. Dr. Wayne William Allen; grandchildren, Joshua Cole Allen, 1st Lt. Caleb Wayne Allen USMC, Rita Yvonne Allen, Alexandra Michelle Allen USN; great-grandchildren, Aleah Amstutz, Bruce Amstutz, Caynah Amstutz, Ethan Amstutz, Evelyn Amstutz. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice Marilyn Parker in 1984; and his granddaughter, Rachel Marie (Allen) Amstutz. Graveside Service with Honors is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at Covington Memorial Cemetery. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 at Harvester Missionary Church, 3331 Harvester Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior at the church. In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials to Harvester Missionary Church - Asian Missionary Fund. Arrangements By Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society.
