BORIS KOSTOFF, 86, passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehab. Born in Fort Wayne, Boris graduated from Central High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the owner of Quality Foods Inc. and the Stein Tavern for many years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, and was an avid fan of Notre Dame Football, Indiana and Purdue Basketball and all Bishop Dwenger Sports. He was also involved with local, state and national politics for many years. Surviving are his daughters, Maria (Tim) Maley of Fishers, Ind. and Gina Kostoff of Fort Wayne; son, Matthew (Cynthia) Kostoff of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Alex Maley, Brian, Lindsay and Allison Kostoff; brothers, George and Carl Kostoff. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie A. Kostoff; brother, James Kostoff; sister, Vesta Hoffmann; and parents, Tanas and Luba Kostoff. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 at St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, 3535 Crescent Ave. with entrance prayers at 9:45 a.m. Father Andrew Jarmus officiating. Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013 with a Trisagion Service at 4:30 p.m. at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road.
