CHESTER K. MASTERS, 85, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. Born in Fort Wayne, he graduated in 1946 from South Side High School. Chester worked as a route salesman with Perfection Biscuit Company for 14 years, retiring in 1986, and prior to that worked as a supervisor with Blue Bird Pies for 14 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Colony Heights Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Loretta Masters of Fort Wayne; sons, William F. (Mischelle) Masters, and Robert A. (Mary) Masters both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Cindy (Craig) Keller of Fort Wayne; brother, Edward (Charlotte) Masters of Fort Wayne; sister, Barbara M. Sprague of Parma, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred Masters; and brother, Gordon Masters. Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the , , or the .
