DELBERT DENNIS, 85, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at Visiting Nurse with his family at his side. Born in Point Marion, Pa., he was the son of the late Luke and Mae Dennis. He served his country in the Army and was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 857. He was a Machinist with American Hoist and then retired from Dana. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Delores; daughter, Sheila (Roger) Bremer; stepson, Andrew (Tammy) Rogers; sister, Ruth Myers; brother, Joe Dennis; grandchildren, Jami, Ashley, Lindsey and Andrea; and great-grandchildren, Spencer, Chloe, Kinsey, Cambree, Graycn, Alex, Hunter and Jorja. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Dick and Bud; sisters, Kate Smith, Mary Wolf, Dorothy Gates and infant twin sisters, Emma and Shirley; and his furry companion of 17 years, Sam. Per Delbert's request, there will be no calling or services. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors.
