EVAN JOSEPH HILL, 30, of Pierceton, Ind., formerly of Valparaiso, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013. Born Aug. 4, 1983, in Valparaiso, he was a son of Gary and Mary Margaret (Huse man) Hill. Evan graduated from Valparaiso High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Purdue University. "Evan was a light whose smile traveled from coast to coast attending 62 Phish shows and will be dearly missed by his Phish Phamily." He was employed by Fort Wayne Newspapers as a sales specialist. Surviving are his father, Gary Hill of Pierceton; sister, Jennifer Hill (Terry Heafey) of Palos Heights, Ill.; brother, Eric Hill of Pierceton; two nieces, Meg and Grace Heafey; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Frances Hill of Pierceton; two aunts, Cyndi (Lance) Dowdy of Cincinnati and Rita Hill Catt of Hobart; and two uncles, John (Diane) Huseman of Lincoln, Neb. and Paul (Cheryl) Huseman of Chesterton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Margaret "Margy" Hill, in 2008; one uncle, Randy Hill; and maternal grandparents, Ira and Mary Huseman. Phuneral service is 10:30 a.m. (CDT) Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. (CDT) Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph M. Pawlowski officiating.
