FRANKLIN EDWARD ENGEBRECHT, 82, formerly a longtime resident of Fort Wayne and Albion, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dolores (Harvey). Born Sept. 2, 1931, in Wisconsin, he was a son of Richard and Lydia (Schmidt) Engebrecht. He received his Bachelor's degree from Concordia Teachers College, River Forest, Ill., and his Master's degree from the University of Michigan. Mr. Engebrecht taught 40 years for Lutheran schools in Michigan , Kendallville and Fort Wayne. He retired from St. Peter Lutheran School, Fort Wayne, in 1993, having served as teacher, principal, organist, choir director, and adult Bible class teacher. In addition to his wife, survivors include daughters, Julie Engebrecht of Cincinnati, Ohio, Susan Engebrecht of Golden, Colo., and Cheryl Fahrenbach of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Andrew Fahrenbach, Quinn Fahrenbach and Johanna Engebrecht; sisters, Doris (Frederic) Lussky of Gainesville, Fla., and Arla (Eric) Meyer of Providence, Utah; brothers Norbert of Milwaukee, Wis. and Richard of Charlotte, N.C.; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Victor; and sister, Norma.
