GARFIELD BRYANT JR., 85, of South Bend, departed this life on Friday, April 5, 2013. He was born on April 13, 1927, in Gifford, S.C. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed by Hager man Construction. Surviving are his sons, Stevie D. Bryant of Las Vegas, Nev., Stanley E. Bryant and Kenneth (Geraldine) Coker, both of Fort Wayne; mother, Willa M. Bryant; two brothers, James Arthur (Doris) Bryant of Chester, Pa. and Robert Lee Bryant of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Troy and DaMon Bryant; five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield Bryant Sr. and Pearl Bryant. Services will be private. Arrangements by Carmichael Funeral Service.
