GILBERT D. (G.D.). BROOKHART, 90, passed away Friday, Sept. 13 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Ctenter. He was born in Adams County, Ind. and he worked and retired from General Electric after 41 years as a expeditor. He was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran, and also a member of the China-Berma-India Vets Association. He also was a member at the G.E. Quarter century club and Calvary United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anna; sons, James L. (Susan) Brookhart of Nixa, Mo., and Steven E. (Carrie) Brookhart of Cadillac, Mich.; daughter, Pamela Brookhart (Doug) Wray of Indianapolis; son, Kenneth W. (Jan) Brookhart of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Eric, Jeff, Joel, Alison, Tricia, Ben, Gabe, Joe, Brandon, and Jason; 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Brookhart; sister, Nellwyn Trujillo; and stepmother, Mamie Teeple Brookhart. Funeral services is 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
