H. BART CORNER, 87, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Byron Health Center. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1951 with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He worked for Cleveland Pneumatic Tool, Cleveland, Ohio. He and his family moved to Fort Wayne in 1974. He was a plant manager of Alma Plastics, Decatur. He was an avid golfer and chess player and loved playing Bridge and his black Lab, Barney. He was married on Sept. 25, 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of American Mensa Ltd., ASME, Delta Upsilon and Kiwanis. Surviving are his loving wife of 64 years, Evelyn (Easton) Corner of Fort Wayne; daughter, Susan (Mark) Bradlee of Cameron Park, Calif.; three sons, David B. (Terri) Corner of Leesburg, Ind., Dr. James (Rachel) Corner of Cambridge, New Zealand and John H. Corner of Hamler, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial service is 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46835), with memorial calling from 2 to 4 p.m. Inurnment in a niche in Bohn Chapel at Lindenwood Cemetery.
