HALEY M. NELLUM, 17, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Fort Wayne. She was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne. Haley was a sophomore at Bishop Dwenger High School and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Haley was always very devoted to her interests and passions in her life. The most important, was being with her family and friends. She was a very happy girl and loved life. Her hobbies included music, dancing, dressing up and taking photos with her friends. Haley loved sports and participated in them at every opportunity. She played junior varsity and some varsity basketball and played volleyball at Bishop Dwenger. She also enjoyed helping with elementary students and recently with the Special Olympics. Surviving are her mother, Laura Nellum; father, Robert (Rebecca) Nellum; sisters, Robin Kolczynski, Heather Nellum and Ayanna Weaver, all of Fort Wayne; brother, Randy Kolczynski of Louisville, Ky.; grandparents, Charlie and Barbara Nellum of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Joseph and Roseann Kohrman. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Fr. Jacob Meyer officiating. Calling also from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, with a Vigil at 8:30 p.m., at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
