JAMES E. FOREMAN, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013, with his loving family by his side. Born in Decatur, Indiana on Jan. 26, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha Foreman. James was a World War II veteran; a retiree from Howard Sobers Transport; a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of New Haven; and an all-around great father, husband and friend. Surviving are his daughter, Gloria Trice; sons, Samuel (Debbie) Foreman, Michael (Joni) Foreman and Gary (Beth) Foreman; a loving daughter, Diana Andrews; half sister, Shirley Smith; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchild ren; one great-great-grand daughter; and a very caring friend, Mercy Bell. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis; brother, Robert Foreman; sister, Hazel Foreman Meyers; daughter, Carolyn Lemons; granddaughters, Angel Silvers and Heather Foreman; and his beloved dog, Maggie. Funeral is noon Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at First Baptist Church of New Haven, 1716 Werling Road, New Haven (IN 46774), with visitation two hours prior to service. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
