JAMES LOWELL DAVIS, 84, of Coatesville, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Avon, Ind. He was born Oct. 30, 1929 in Fort Wayne. He worked as a Carpenter for Irmscher and C.A. Lehman in Fort Wayne, and later for Glenroy Construction in Indianapolis. He served as an M.P. in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, May Davis of Coatesville, Ind.; daughters, Cindy Davis of Fort Wayne, Kelly (Drew) Withrow of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Lisa (Jim) Jensen of Portland, Ore.; sisters, Helen Edrie Scott of Indianapolis, and Dorothy Nelson of Texas; and five grandchildren. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 in the chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway, Ind.
