JARED "JERRY" WORRALL DARLINGTON, 82, of the Darlington area of Middletown Township, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Born in Middletown Township, he was the son of the late Jesse and Ruth Darlington. He was a member of one of Delaware County's oldest families. He was raised on the historic family farm that was an original land grant from William Penn. It was the Darlington family that gave the Darlington section of Middletown Township its name. He was a graduate of Friends Central and Penn State University. He retired as plant manager from Foamex (formerly a division of Scott Paper Company) after 38 years of service. He was a former resident and active community member of New Haven from 1969 to 1993. He was the beloved husband for 50 years of Nancy Dillon Darlington; devoted father of Sharon Darlington Drewer of Arlington, Va. and Jared (Kristine) Darlington of Fishers; and loving grandfather of Jared (Will) Darlington, Madeline Darlington and Ava Drewer. He was also survived by a sister, Barbara Garrett of Ringoes, N.J.; and a brother, Jesse M. Darlington of Boalsburg, Pa. He was also preceded in death by son-in-law, William Drewer. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Middletown Preparative Meeting, 447 N. Middletown Road, Middletown Twp., Media, PA. Private interment.
