LOUISE BUDREY, 93, of Huntertown, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Ashton Creek Health & Rehab Center, Fort Wayne. A native of Wilmington, Ohio, she was a World War II and Korean Conflict Navy Veteran, and was a Nurse in Guam, caring for the survivors of the USS Indianapolis. She served with the Navy Nursing Corps for 26 years, retiring as Lieutenant Commander in 1969. Surviving are nephews, Norman Bojrab, Jr. and James (Beverly) Bojrab both of Fort Wayne; nieces, Dolores (Ralph) Oltmann of Punta Gorda, Fla., Camilla (Robert) Pelkington of Angola and Emeline (Stephen) Detrick of Ossian; brother-in-law, Norman Bojrab, Sr. of Fort Wayne; and great-nephews, Ryan Bojrab and Ross Bojrab. She was preceded in death by parents, Abraham and Wadia (Emrod) Budrey; sisters, Helen Budrey and Mary Bojrab; and brothers, Moses Budrey and Isaac Budrey. Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Church of God, 200 A Street, Wilmington, Ohio, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. Burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Churubusco or First Church of God, Wilmington, Ohio.
