MIKE J. BONDAR, 66, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Coldwater, Mich., Mike worked as a facility maintenance supervisor with IPFW for 27 years. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran; a Purple Heart recipient; a member of American Legion Post 857. He was the President of the Poplar Neighborhood Association and was known as the "Mayor" of the neighborhood. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Miller; sons, Raymond L. (Tina) Ramos of New Palestine, Ind. and William A. (Elizabeth) Miller of New Haven; daughter-in-law, Becky Ramos of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Raymond Ramos Jr., Angelina Ramos, Dalton and McKinzie Miller, Breanna Schibel and Devin Ramos; sisters, Patty Young, Debbie (Carl) Asadarian, Julie (William), and Debbie (William) Ford, all of California; brother, John Bondar of California; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bondar and Hazel May Schmidt; mother, Joan Bondar; and son, Ricky B. Ramos. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, at the funeral home.
