MILDRED "MILLIE" HINDERER, 86, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Visiting Nurse, Fort Wayne. Born in Evansville, Ind., Millie worked for General Motors for 13 years, retiring in 1976. Millie ran a Bingo hall for 20 years. She had a fun loving personality and that led her to becoming a Professional Clown. "She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be miss by many." Surviving are her daughters, Marilyn (Scott) Daffron of Taylor, Mich., Barbara (Christopher) Jeffery of Fort Wayne and Jennifer (John) Murphy of Laverne, Calif.; sons, Robert (Melinda) Kirtley of Fort Wayne, Donald Kirtley of Detroit, Mich. and Alan (Debra) Kirtley of Ossian; stepdaughter, Karen Persen of Palm Springs, Calif.; stepson, Larry (Rita) Hinderer of Texarkana, Texas; brother, Marvin (Ophelia) Logan of Hamtramck, Mich.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah Logan; first husband, Wilfred "Biff" Kirtley; second husband, Everett "Shorty Cook" Hinderer; daughter, Karen Sciriha; brothers, Melvin and Melford Logan; and sisters, Marcella Azar and Marjorie Neer. Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., with calling one hour prior.
