NELSON E. KINERK, 74, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born in 1939 in Fort Wayne, the youngest son of the late Edward and Edith (Mason) Kinerk, and lived there most of his life. He served in the Army from 1962 to 1968. He was a member of the American Legion in North Fort Myers, Fla. Upon retirement from both International Harvester in 1982 and Prairie Grove Cemetery in 2005, he and his wife Carol moved to Fort Myers, Fla. in 2008. "He loved life, and enjoyed making people laugh." During his leisure time, he enjoyed metal detecting, going to the beach, and exploring Fort Myers. "He was very much a people person who delighted in meeting people of all ages." He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol (Green) Kinerk; three children, Brian Kinerk, Teresa Scott and Christine Kelty; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; two siblings, Bonnie Andrews and Gerald Kinerk. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Fairview Church of God, 5511 Yoder Rd., Yoder, (IN 46798). Donations can be sent to the
