NELSON E. TUGGLE, 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Parkview Hospital. Born in Swanton, Ohio, Nelson was a Vietnam War Navy veteran. He work ed for B.F. Goodrich for 32 years, retiring in 1994. Nelson was Assistant Scout Master of Troop 454 in Harlan for many years. He was also a member of the Foresters. Nelson's passions were family and fishing. He spent his free time fishing in Okeechobee, Fla. or any other place he could find. Nelson had a natural gift to create and build about anything. "His loving, helping and giving personality will be truly missed by all who knew him." Surviving are his mother, Maxine Zychowicz of Leo; daughters, Karen (David Dize) Tuggle-Dize of Leo and Kristine (Rusty Denham) Tuggle of Leo; son, Robert (Tammy) Tuggle of Roscoe, Ill.; sister, Marylin (Richard) Shaw of Harlan; step-sisters, Judy Wiles of Wabash and Chris Carner of Temperance, Mich.; stepbrother, Frank Zychowicz Jr. of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren, Stephanie (Billy) Kulpa, Andrew (Tamara) Tuggle, Heather, Austin, Lia, Anthony, Ashton, Logan Tuggle, Chris, Nick, and Aly Dize; great-grandchildren, Madison, Triston with one on the way. He was preceded in death by father, Earl Tuggle; wife, Phyllis Tuggle; brother, David Tuggle; and stepsister, Sandy Rice. Service is 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Fr. Timothy Wrozek officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the New Haven Adams Township Fire Department.
