PAUL C. BUCKLES, 88, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 at A.M.G. Speciality Hospital in Muncie, Ind. Born in Dayton, Ohio, Paul retired from Dana Corp. He was a member of Wallen Baptist Church. A U.S. Army World War II veteran, serving in the 161st combat engineer battalion. He was a Bronze Star Recipient under General George Patton's 3rd Army 20th Corp. Surviving are his sons, Paul R. Buckles of Fort Wayne, Craig E. (Cindy) Buckles of Muncie; daughter, Lisa K. (Richard) Davenport of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Cade, Mark and Laura Buckles and Rachel and Michael Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Buckles; parents, William George and Theresa Buckles; five brothers; and eight sisters. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling from noon to 2 p.m. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind.
