PAUL F. ROEMBKE, 86, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his lake home with his family at his side. He was born in Fort Wayne, the son of the late Carl P. Roembke and Clara E. (Richter). Paul was a graduate of South Side High School and Purdue University. He spent his work years with General Electric, Tolkheim Corporation and retired from Electric Motors in 1994. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran and served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Musicians Union 25th Century Club and Managements Club. He enjoyed working with the youth, serving as coach for C.Y.O. Basketball and St. Joe Little League Baseball. He enjoyed his retirement with his family, loved the lake, boating, fishing, travel and his great love of music. He was a well known drummer for many bands in the area. Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years, Rosemary; sons, Thomas P. of Cincinnati, Ohio, Timothy M. of Pierceton, and James C. of Cave Creek, Ariz.; granddaughters, Amy, and Kristin; great-grandchildren, Mia, Brooke, Nolan and Sloane, all of Arizona; sister-in-law, Catherine Ward; and many nieces and nephews. He was also precded in death by his sister, Carol Pagano; and nephew, John Pepple. Private services and burial at Lindenwood Cemetery.
