R. TIMOTHY "TIM" KRUECKEBERG, 66, of Decatur, died on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, 6:44 p.m., at his residence following an apparent cardiac event. Born May 15, 1947, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Edgar Krueckebergand Leonora (Bruick) Krueckeberg. He married Norma Kraner on Nov. 20, 1970, in Van Wert, Ohio. Tim was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur and American Legion Post 43, Decatur. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 42 1/2 years of employment. He also helped Leonard Thieme on the farm which was a great enjoyment for him. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed fishing with Tami and grandkids, Indiana University basketball, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, antique tractors, playing cards, and attending the many extra-curricular events his grandchildren were involved in. Surviving are his wife, Norma Krueckeberg of Decatur; daughters, Tina (Neil) Slusher and Tami (Heath) Reidenbach, both of Decatur; brother, Gary Krueckeberg of Utah; two grandchildren, Bailey Slusher and Brevin Slusher. Service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. David Koeneman officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
