RANDALL R. SORDELET, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. Born March 28, 1951, he was the son of the late Roy and Jane (Van Emon) Sordelet. He work-ed as a salesman at Tri-City and Anthony Motor Parts for over 40 years. He graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in 1969, and went to Indiana University and received a B.S. in Business. He was a Vietnam veteran; member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Parish and served as an usher and lector. He served as a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, was an I.H.S.A.A. referee, and avid runner but his Catholic faith and family always came first. "He was a humble, loving, and devoted husband, father, papa and friend." He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Denise (Poinsatte) Sordelet; children, Renee Sordelet, Marie (Brian) Lytle, Adam Sordelet, Patrick (Tessa) Sordelet, Marc (Molly) Sordelet, Gregory Sordelet, John Paul Sordelet, Michelle Sordelet, Phillip Sordelet, Eric Sordelet, Cecilia Sordelet, and Thomas Sordelet; 15 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jalaine Chavez (Hilary), Melinda (Dave) Windsor, Kevin (Debbie) Sordelet, Janeen (Kerry) Schultz, Matt Sordelet, and Martin (Becky) Sordelet; and 19 close in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Leo Sordelet. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, 7215 St. Joe Road, with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Father Mark Gurtner officiating. Visitation also from 1 to 4:30 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with Rosary service at 4 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
