RAY L. JOHNSON, 87, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at his home. Born in Yoder, Ray was a World War II Army veteran. He was the owner of Johnson Cabinet Company for 25 years, retiring in 1988. Surviving are his sons, David Johnson of Fort Wayne and Neal (Cheryl) Johnson of Churubusco; daughter, Lora (Thomas) Hall of Frenchtown, Mont.; siblings, Robert Johnson of Florida, Dorothy Patton of Ossian, Merle Johnson of Columbia City, and Normajean Snyder of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Edith Johnson; first wife, Maryanne Johnson; second wife, Ida Johnson; son, Raymond Johnson Jr.; sister, Mary Doty; and brothers, Carl and Arlon Johnson. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Martin Gehring officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Risen Savior Lutheran Church or Worship for Shut-Ins.
