REATHA Y. CRAIG, 59, of Portland, Ore., passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at her home. Born in Fort Wayne, Reatha earned her Master's Degree from Indiana University. She had a love for helping children. Her love led her to become a special education teacher with the South Bend School Corporation for nine years before moving to Oregon, where she had worked with the Multnomah Education Service District since Jan. 8, 1990. Reatha enjoyed traveling around the nation, cooking, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her parents, Willie and Lula Craig of Fort Wayne; siblings, Sandra K. Craig, Larry W. (Penny) Craig and Karen Patterson; goddaughter, Dorcas Harvey of Fort Wayne; godson, Jamar T. Brown of Fort Wayne; along with many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter, Jakai Craig; and sister, Gloria Craig. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
