RICHARD "DICK" BEARMAN, 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Richard worked as a buyer with General Electric for 37 years, retiring in 1992. He was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School and General Electric Apprentiship School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Dick was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and enjoyed building model airplanes, fishing, country music, and tinkering in the garage. Surviving are his wife, Edith Bearman of Fort Wayne; daughter, Lisa (Scott) Judy of Bloomfield, Ind.; son, Tim Bearman of Fort Wayne; daughter, Amy (Matt) Stewart of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Morgan, Ethan, Emma, A. J., and Bo; brother, Ken (Mimi) Bearman of Fort Wayne; sisters, Marilyn (Rich) Melcher of Albion and Carol (John) Moore of Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mildred Bearman; and brother, Robert Bearman. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2131 Getz Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at D.O.
