RICHARD BOND, 88, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Born in Garrett, Ind., he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a disabled veteran. Dick was a long time resident of Fort Wayne, retiring from Met. Life, and moved to Fort Myers, Fla. to pursue his lifelong passion of building and remodeling homes. He enjoyed summers on his farm near Payne, Ohio. Surviving are his wife, Anne Bond; daughter, Leesa Bond; and three stepchildren, Dawn, Tara, and Doug; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was precedec in death by his brother, Paul; sisters, Louise, Iona, and Lucille. A Graveside Service is 11 a.m. Satruday, June 14, 2014 at Wilsie Cemetery, East of Payne, Ohio, with a Celebration of Life at St. Jacob's United Church fellowship hall on Oak St. in Payne. In lieu of flowers, your presence is requested with hugs, smiles, and stories of this wonderful Man.
