RICHARD E. SPROAT JR., of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. Born Dec. 30, 1962, in Phoenix, Ariz., he was the son of Louella Sproat of Fort Wayne and the late Richard E. Sproat Sr. He graduated from Connersville High School and Indiana University with a degree in communications. Richard was a disc Jockey in Fort Wayne known as "El Dog". He was recognized for his sales abilities, selling telephone equipment, business machines, and autos. He is survived by his wife, Phu"o"ng Kim; son, Jaxon of South Vietnam; mother, Louella M. Hunnicutt Sproat of Fort Wayne; sister, Cheryl (Scott) Saalfrank of Carmel, Ind.; nephews, Ryan DeMoss of Vail, Ariz. and Brandon Saalfrank of Las Vegas, Nev.; and niece, Alyssa Saalfrank of Bloomington, Ind. Service is 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Putman Ave., Fort Wayne, with visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in memory of Richard E.
