RICHARD M. HORN, 85, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he work ed as a teacher at Lakeside and Forest Park Schools for 38 years. He was a member of Sol D. Bayless Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Mizpah Shrine, Star of the East Chapter 514, O.E.S. and was a F.W.A.R.T.A. member. He loved music, traveling, and served two years in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are his wife, Lois Horn of Fort Wayne; daughters, Cynthia, Cheryl and Linda; stepson, Erik W. Allen; stepdaughter, Karen (Allen) Hayes; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Esther Horn; former wife, Dorothy (Allen) Horn; son, Douglas Horn; and stepson, Karl Allen. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Craig Duke officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
