ROBERT N. BERNARDIN, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014. He was married for 58 years to his loving wife, Shirley. A Korean War veteran, he retired after 44 years at Protective Coatings, and 26 years with Martins International. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; children, Leroy Bernar din, Penny (Paul) Woods, Kim Bern-ardin, Tim (Jamie) Bernardin, Kenny (Jamie) Bernardin, and Lori (Ed) Black; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers; one sister; and son, Steven L. Bernardin. Service is 3 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014, at Good Shepard United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Ave., Fort Wayne, with visitation and viewing starting at 1 p.m. Visitation and viewing also from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society, 4602 Newaygo Road, Fort Wayne. Burial with Military Honors to follow service in Parker Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Canterbury Nursing Home or Parkview Hospice. Preferred memorials to Canterbury Nursing Home or Parkview Hospice. Arrangements by Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society.
