ROLAND D. DYE, 82, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Kindred Care, Fort Wayne. Born in Mishawaka, Ind., Roland worked as a insurance salesman with United Life Insurance Company of America for 31 years, retiring in 1993. He was a U.S. Army Koran War veteran, a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, American Legion 449, Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 1 and AMVETS. Surviving are his son, Ricky (Carolyn Foley) Dye of Auburn; brother, Richard (Asenath) Dye of San Diego, Calif.; and grandchildren, Megan, Jessica and Nick. He was preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Lucille (Anderson) Dye; sister, Bonnie Bogard; and brother, Darrell Dye. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
