SANDRA "SAM" GENTILI, 62, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Sam was the third born child to Robert and Mary Jane Davis, born on August 26, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Edina High School in Minnesota and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree at the University of Minnesota. While attending the University, she met her husband of 38 years, Gene Gentili. "Sam was a very creative and talented individual who successfully accomplished directing community theater; starting her own professional storytelling business; and opening her own interior design business, GG Fynds. Sam was also a very generous and kind spirit, dedicating time to the community and organizations like the Twin Club. Sam's joy, laughter, and love was infectious to all those around her. Above all, Sam was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother." She is survived by her husband, Gene Gentili; five of her children, Mary (Matt) Bonnette, Christine (Joe) Vance, Michael, Susanne, and Stephen; her three grandchildren, Arianna, Riley and Rhett; as well as her brothers; nieces; nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Gentili on Nov. 27, 2010. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Woodstock, 2018 North Route 47, Woodstock, Ill. Visitation is from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the same location. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sam's name to the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home at 5910 Homestead Rd. Fort Wayne, Ind. 46814.
