THEODORE C. BRANDT, 90, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Wood view Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born in Logans port, Ind., he served in the United States Navy during World War II. After his military service, Theodore worked as a train dispatcher with Conrail for 42 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Waynedale Masonic Lodge 739, Fort Wayne Scottish Right, Mizpah Shrine, Trinity Chapter OES #576, and V.F.W. Post in Logansport, Ind. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, genealogy, and loved IU basketball. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Brandt of Fort Wayne; son, Stuart S. (Cindy) Brandt of Carmel, Ind.; daughters, Linda L. (Sidney) Lakes of Huntington, Martha L. (Patrick) Bash of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mary Jo (Richard) Dussel of Cassopolis, Mich.; stepson, Kelly (Beth) Clevenger of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Candance Fifer of Delray Beach, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Martha Knight Brandt; sisters, Phyllis J. Whitcomb, Kathleen Dingeldein and Gertrude Grant; and brother, James Brandt. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling from 1 to 3 p.m. and a Masonic service starting at 2:45 p.m. Pastor Steven K. Conner officiating.
