THERESA "TRACY" MILLER, 90, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at Memory Care in Fort Wayne. Born in Hamil-ton, Texas she graduated from Southwestern University and was listed on the Whos Who of American University. Theresa also received her master from Northwestern University in New Testament studies and received her teaching degree from Ball State University. During her college career she was an accomplished tennis player. She taught school at Kekionga Middle for 20 years in Fort Wayne and worked with students in the Project Score Program. She was the 1st Race Relations Community activist under Mayor Ivan A. Lebamoff and a board member of the Krosher House and a longtime member of First Wayne Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many hours creating beautiful oil paintings and was an accomplished artist. She was also blessed with the gift of music and loved to play the piano and the marimba. Surviving are her loving husband of 67 years, Rev. Elvin Miller of Fort Wayne; daughters, Cathy Kuhwede of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Carol (John) Dunfee of Morgantown, Ind.; son, Mark (Lori) Miller of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Smith, Lars Kuhwede, Karsten Kuhwede, Rene (Jeffery) Stahl, Rachel Moore, Theresa Miller, Benjamin Miller; and great-grandchildren, Braden, Peyton, Ethen and Nolan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Ernest and Ruth Roper. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 300 E. Wayne Street with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
